Sundays are for relaxing and pampering yourself and I love nothing more than running a hot bath, lighting a scented candle and slathering myself in a nourishing face mask...
Luckily for us, The Body Shop have recently launched a range
of new Superfood Masks to helps us on our way on to a fabulous night in!! There
are five in total in the range to target a specific skin needs, these include;
- Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask
- Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask
- British Rose Fresh Plumping mask
- Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask
- Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask
One of my skin insecurities is my pores which is why I am
testing out the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask which is designed to
draw out impurities, refine the appearance of pores and provide a youthful glow.
Ideal!!
With 100% vegan ingredients of bamboo charcoal from
Himalayan foothills, green tea leaves from Japan and organic tea tree oil from
Kenya I could not wait to use this in my Sunday pamper routine.
After the first application, the clay mask really reminded
me of the GlamGlow YouthMud with the initial tingling feeling warming the face
and with a peppermint/eucalyptus scent. I do advise if you have sensitive skin
that this particular mask may be too much but there are other masks in the
range, which would better suit any sensitivity you may have.
After using warm water to remove the mask I found that my
skin felt much softer, revistalised and had a fresh glow. I wouldn’t say that
my pores looked noticeably smaller but perhaps after a number of applications I
will be able to see a difference – I will keep you posted!
All in all the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is a
great mask to provide a youthful glow and really did make my skin re-enigised.
Although there are many similarities with GlamGlow, the biggest bonus is the Himalayan
Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask comes in at the fraction of the price, retailing
at £15.00!
I literally can’t wait to try out the other masks in the
range – let me know if you have and your thoughts on them.
